Midwife Malene Hegenberger invented a new speculum, a revolutionary instrument to improve perineal suturing of genital trauma following birth delivery. The new design replaces the harsh, metal speculum with smooth silicon, alleviating pain for the patient and increasing the visibility while suturing, allowing the clinician to work more freely.
