Together with their dedicated team, we helped them develop the design ethos and subsequently the industrial design of their Tempus1800® product line-up. The system enables simple, no-instructions-needed, one-touch sample transport from the point of collection to the relevant laboratory.

True human centered design.

Born out of frustration with the status quo, midwife Malene Hegenberger invented a new speculum. An iterative process with multiple models and 3D-printed samples resulted in a revolutionary instrument that improves perennial suturing of genital trauma following childbirth. The new design replaces the current metal speculum with a smooth, ergonomic design, increasing accessibility during suturing, allowing the clinician to work more efficiently, alleviating pain for the patient, and providing better post-partum outcomes for the mother.

Together with Cortex stakeholders, we identified the pain points of the current system, created a simplified user flow addressing both usage and storage scenarios, and developed an integrated, cohesive design and brand experience.
